Photo voltaic power has a ton of momentum these days even taking into account the Terrific Economic downturn. Though it is heading gang busters in the residential industry, the business app nearly always appears to be to run into a person main problem - land use. New efforts are staying created to get about this and they may just do the job.

I stand corrected. I do not have notes of where I got the original body mass estimates, and you are right, it looks like I may have mixed up my units. If so, at least I can say NASA did it too :-)

I have corrected the chart above to make the average mass near 900 pounds. Thanks.

Sorry Greg, but that's still not right. There is indeed a large difference in weight between male and female polar bears, but not enough to bring the average down that far. Even females tend to weigh more than 390 pounds. I'd guess you've listed the average polar bear weight in kilograms, but the other bears are listed in pounds. Taken in kilograms, the figure 390 makes sense. See here: http://www.loc.gov/rr/scitech/mysteries/bear.html and http://www.seaworld.org/infobooks/polarbears/pbphysical.html

Mark all your gear so it can be easily found before you head for the back country. Here's why. At the first portage, I realized my fanny pack with all my survival gear was missing. The Boy Scout troop was about four days into a nine-day canoe trip into Northern Minnesota's Boundary Waters. While everyone else relaxed, the guide and I paddled to the last campsite to retrieve my stuff. I was lucky to have noticed the missing pack when I did, and really lucky to have found it!

I want to order a Leatherman Wave multi resource and i was thinking if they are high quality for Camping or Fishing use? Make sure you also encourage me any multi equipment similiar to the Wave and perhaps explain to me if you had any working experience with the resources and maybe post how clearly the top notch it is and how properly it perform.

Does anyone have any "must-haves" on their camping list? I get overwhelmed by outdoor equipment sites, and end up getting items based on price... then I go camping with friends and get jealous of their stuff - like the fold up camp chair. :)
